The gravure ink is very low viscosity, and there are two types solvent-based and water-based. The chemicals used in packaging gravure. 

Solvent based ink, Sometimes referred to as oil-based ink.

Solvent-based coatings contain higher levels of organic compounds than water-based coatings.

Water based ink used for packaging.

It requires a higher temperature and longer oven to exposure time in order to drive off the water and lower vapor pressure constituents.
